Current Sermon Series:
Keepers of the Flame
Left unattended, the fire of our spirit can easily grow cold. As temples of God's Holy Spirit, we are meant to be ablaze with the Spirit's presence. Like the priests of old, we must tend the fire on the altar of our lives through a lifestyle of worship. We were made to be keepers of the flame.
October 19 Tending the Coals Leviticus 6:8-13
"Don't let the fire go out!" God commanded. It was a sign of nurturing the presence of God in the heart of the people, and it remains true today. We may not be tending a real fire, but we are still called to steward the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in our life together. It is a sacred calling that changes us, others, and the world.
